Summer Repertory Season in Full Swing at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts

Thingamajig Theatre Company’s 2026 summer repertory season is now fully open at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, with Come From Away, Company and Fiddler on the Roof all running in rotation.

Together, the three productions offer audiences a wide range of theatrical experience, from the generous, ensemble-driven storytelling of Come From Away, to the sharp wit and emotional sophistication of Stephen Sondheim’s Company, to the humor, heart and enduring power of Fiddler on the Roof.

Come From Away opened the season with a moving portrait of ordinary people meeting an extraordinary moment with kindness. Fast, funny and deeply human, the production continues to resonate with audiences who recognize both the scale of the story and the simple decency at its center.

Company brings a different kind of energy: urbane, witty, restless and emotionally precise. Its questions about love, marriage, friendship and the courage it takes to be truly known have offered audiences an evening that is as funny as it is piercing.

Now Fiddler on the Roof has joined the rotation, bringing with it one of the great stories in American musical theatre. Beneath its beloved songs and familiar traditions is a musical about change: the kind we invite, the kind we resist and the kind that arrives whether we are ready or not. In a season already rich with connection, Fiddler offers both celebration and heart. Audiences have responded warmly to all three productions, with strong attendance, enthusiastic word of mouth and generous ovations.

The three shows together demonstrate the particular thrill of repertory theatre. Actors, designers, technicians, musicians and production staff move from Newfoundland to New York to Anatevka, often in the same week, creating a summer season that feels expansive, alive and distinctly theatrical.

While the mainstage season is now in full swing, the next generation of performers has also begun its own adventure. Youth theatre camp started this week at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts, bringing young artists into the rehearsal process for Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS. Filled with familiar characters, lively music and jungle-sized imagination, The Jungle Book KIDS gives students the chance to build confidence, make friends and experience the joy of creating a show together. As the professional season plays on the mainstage, youth theatre offers a fitting reminder that live theatre is not only something we celebrate, but something we pass on.

With all three summer repertory productions now open and youth theatre underway, Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts is offering a full season of story, music, community and connection.

Tickets for Come From Away, Company, Fiddler on the Roof and Disney’s The Jungle Book KIDS are available at pagosacenter.org or by calling 970-731-SHOW (7469).
