Free ‘Conflict De-Escalation’ Training This Wednesday, March 18

Proponents of Immigrant Rights in Archuleta County (PIRAC) is sponsoring a free virtual training led by Right To Be to help build community-wide skills that promote safety at public gatherings and protests.

This free 60-minute interactive webinar — offered online this Wednesday, March 18 at 6:30pm —  will teach practical tools to de-escalate hate and harassment before situations turn into violence. Participants will learn how to recognize early warning signs using the “pyramid of escalation,” assess when and how to intervene safely, and apply Right To Be’s Observe-Breathe-Connect methodology to reduce harm in tense moments.

Conflict de-escalation requires patience, awareness, and a commitment to seeing the humanity in others — even when we disagree. These skills strengthen not only protest spaces, but our entire community. Sign up today, and please help spread the word about this important training by forwarding this email, and attached flyer to everyone you know! Do your part in keeping EVERYONE safe!

This de-escalation training is free and open to all.
