What if a single morning could help shape the future of food, small business, and community connection in Archuleta County?
On Saturday, April 18, community members are invited to gather at Pagosa Springs High School from 7:45am to 1:00pm for the 2026 Archuleta Food Summit, a hands-on, interactive event designed to bring people together around one shared question: What does a stronger local food system look like for our community?
Hosted by Healthy Archuleta, this year’s Summit centers on the proposed Archuleta Community Food Hub & Food Hall, a project designed to support local farmers and ranchers, create opportunities for food entrepreneurs, expand access to healthy food, and strengthen the local economy.
But this isn’t a typical conference. Participants will move through an interactive Food Hub Experience, where the vision comes to life through conversations and interactive stations led by local growers, producers, food businesses and community leaders. From shared commercial kitchens and food business incubation to composting, community gardens, and innovative growing systems, attendees will explore how the Food Hub could operate day-to-day and serve the community for years to come.
The morning includes a community breakfast, a panel on food and the rural economy, and a farm-to-table lunch featuring locally sourced ingredients. During lunch, participants will join small group discussions to share ideas and help identify priorities that will directly inform the next phase of the Food Hub project.
A $10 registration fee helps cover the cost of meals for all participants. Whether you grow food, run a business, want to start something new, or simply care about the future of Archuleta County, your voice matters.
