The Community Foundation serving Southwest Colorado is hosting a two-part nonprofit board training series called Strong Boards, Healthy Organizations to delve into best practices for a high functioning, effective organization. The training series is ideal for nonprofit leadership and new/existing board members.
Serving on a nonprofit board and leading a nonprofit organization in a rural community is meaningful, challenging work. Board members and executive directors often wear many hats, pitch in wherever needed, and care deeply about their organization and the people it serves. The workshop is for rural nonprofits that want to strengthen how their board and leadership team function day-to-day.
“Together, we will focus on what works in rural communities, where time is limited, the importance of relationships, and how people often step into leadership because they care, not because they have endless capacity,” says Adrea Bogle, leadership coach with Luminary Consulting. “The workshop is conversational and hands-on, with plenty of space to reflect, ask questions, and apply ideas directly to your own organization.”
