LETTER: ‘Transgender Day of Remembrance’ Set for Nov. 20

Pagosa Pride is hosting an evening gathering for Transgender Day of Remembrance, Thursday, November 20 at 6:00pm.

This day is set aside annually as an observance to commemorate the lives of transgender, non-binary, and gender non-conforming people who have been killed due to violence and discrimination.

This educational and candlelight vigil is to hold space for broadening our understanding and sharing with others in a safe space. The mission of Pagosa Pride is to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, to advocate for equity and social justice, and to provide space for people of all colors, gender identities and sexual orientations to feel safe, welcome and loved.

Join us for an evening of reflection and community building as we share a short presentation, Trans 101, hold space for our Transgender family and friends, and light candles of remembrance.

Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is providing space for this time of remembrance, located at Greenbriar Plaza, Unit B-15, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak.

The mission of Pagosa Pride is to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community, to advocate for equity and social justice, and to provide space for people for all colors, gender identities and sexual orientations to feel safe, welcome & loved!
