Internship Applications: open January 5; close February 12.
El Pomar’s Fellowship provides young leaders with the opportunity to grow, develop leadership skills, and gain meaningful professional experience, helping ensure the long-term success of Colorado’s organizations. In 1991, El Pomar Foundation created the Fellowship program for recent college graduates and early-career professionals to support the pipeline of leaders in the state of Colorado. Over the 22-month program, Fellows work full-time for the Foundation, spending their time supporting programs and grantmaking work, while participating in a comprehensive professional development curriculum.

Creating a leadership pipeline in the nonprofit sector means sparking interest in young people in Colorado. In 1994, El Pomar Foundation created the summer Internship program to encourage interest in the philanthropic and nonprofit sectors among continuing undergraduate college students. El Pomar Interns benefit from nonprofit work experience alongside professional development opportunities as they support many facets of the Foundation. Interns work full-time for the Foundation during the summer and are assigned to a position based on the Foundation’s needs and the Intern’s interests.
