In his recent editorial regarding new County admin facilities, Mr. Hudson states:
“Doing nothing is always an option. The County government is functioning reasonably well, at the moment, in its existing facilities.” [My emphasis].
I am quite pleased that someone has finally voiced this option publicly. I feel that this option, or a variation thereof, merits serious consideration.
I commend Commissioner Ranson for investigating County admin facility alternatives costing less than a new building.
I think it would be really nice for us to have a shiny new admin building. I also think it would be really nice to have a shiny new Corvette in my garage.
Alas, I cannot afford a new ‘Vette. I feel it would be irresponsible and selfish of me to incur debt for such a purchase when our 18-year-old Subaru is “functioning reasonably well”.
