THEATRE: One Special Performance, One Special House

On Tuesday, August 11 at 7:00pm, Thingamajig Theatre Company will present a very special performance of ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ benefiting Aspen House.

100% of ticket sales from this performance will go directly to Aspen House and the construction of its new residential home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

This will also be a uniquely joyful evening as members of the Aspen House community share their talents with us, appearing alongside our professional company onstage and assisting members of our team backstage!

Why This Matters
Aspen House is creating something that does not currently exist anywhere else in Archuleta County: a safe, supportive and affordable home where adults with developmental disabilities can remain close to their families, friends and the community they know.

Many of these adults currently live with aging parents or guardians who carry an increasingly urgent concern:

“Who will care for my child when I no longer can?”

Aspen House will help answer that question.

Now under construction, the state-licensed home will include eight individual residential suites, 24-hour staffing and access to services designed to help residents live with greater independence, purpose and connection.

There could hardly be a more fitting production for this special evening than ‘Fiddler on the Roof’ — a story about family, belonging, resilience and the importance of having a place to call home.

Come experience one of Broadway’s most beloved musicals, while helping make a life-changing local project a reality.
