After two years shaped largely by downtown construction, the Pagosa Springs Main Street Advisory Board is looking ahead and inviting one new community member to help shape the district’s next chapter.
The board is expanding from 10 to 11 members and is seeking someone who cares about downtown Pagosa Springs, values community service and wants to contribute to work that makes a visible difference. This is a volunteer position, and members are appointed by the Pagosa Springs Town Council to two-year terms. The application includes additional information about meeting schedules, participation and board member expectations.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and selected applicants will be invited to interview. The application deadline is August 16.

Pagosa Springs Main Street is focused on the vitality, character and future of downtown. Its advisory board is made up of community volunteers who bring ideas, build partnerships and help move projects from conversation to action.
During downtown construction, much of the program’s work has focused on supporting communication, connecting businesses and the public with information and resources, and keeping attention on downtown businesses and activities.
Through Cone Zone Care, business outreach, construction updates and access information, Main Street has worked alongside the town, businesses
and community partners during a challenging period for the district.
At the same time, the program has continued creating new ways for people to experience downtown and connect with the community. Recent efforts include launching the Main Street Art Walk, developing the community-created Color Pagosa’s Past project, creating the Pagosa Springs History Vault, and recording more than 30 hours of community oral histories.
That work has earned recognition. Pagosa Springs Main Street achieved Main Street America accreditation in both 2024 and 2025. In October 2025, Colorado Main Street named Pagosa Springs the Main Street Community of the Year and recognized Main Street Coordinator Kathleen McFadden as the Colorado Main Street Manager of the Year. Cone Zone Care was also selected as a finalist for a Downtown Colorado Inc. Downtown Excellence Award.
