Hickenlooper Campaign Announces Fundraising Success

By Jess Cohen

This week, U.S. Senator John Hickenlooper announced that his campaign raised more than $1.3 million for his reelection campaign in the second quarter of 2026 and has $2 million cash on hand. Hickenlooper is the only statewide candidate in Colorado to raise more than one million dollars each quarter since 2025.

Hickenlooper maintains his strong grassroots support, with 83% of donations being $25 or less.

“The president continues to pocket billions, wage an unwanted war, and ignore the cost-of-living emergency that’s pushing the American Dream further and further away,” said Hickenlooper. “We cannot let Donald Trump – nor extreme candidates running to rubber stamp his policies – get away with this. We’re building the momentum we need to take back Congress and stop Trump’s corruption and extreme policies.”

Earlier this month, Hickenlooper won his primary election and now faces Lauren Boebert’s hand-picked candidate, MAGA Mark Baisley, in the general election.

State Senator Mark Baisley proudly backed Trump’s extreme agenda. Baisley has defended ICE’s violence, attacked the LGBTQ+ community, tried to ban gay marriage in Colorado, and spread Islamaphobia.

After his win at the Republican Assembly, Baisley delivered a speech centered on pushing his extreme views like creating a national ban on abortion, attacking “gender studies,” and overturning common sense gun control.
