The 17th Annual Pagosa Springs Area Car Show wrapped up on June 13, 2026, leaving behind the rumble of engines, the warmth of community, and memories that will carry Pagosa Springs through to next summer. Hosted at Yamaguchi Park, the two-day event drew hundreds of attendees and showcased 117 registered vehicles against the stunning backdrop of the San Juan Mountains.
The winners are listed below.
Admission remained free to the public, keeping the event true to its roots as a celebration for the entire community. Families, car enthusiasts, and curious visitors alike spread across the park grounds, taking in an impressive variety of vehicles that ranged from polished classics to custom builds. The Show ‘n’ Shine judged competition drew serious competitors and admiring crowds in equal measure, while People’s Choice voting gave every attendee a voice in honoring their favorite rides.
This year’s event also featured some welcome additions to the festivities. The Cornhole Tournament brought a lively competitive spirit to the grounds of Yamaguchi Park with the winners being:
1st place Al & Janelle Bryant
2nd Place Evie & Rex Bryant
3rd Place Toby Young and Gene Flaherty,
4th Place Mike and Max Bradley
The 1/25 scale Model Car show offered a charming counterpoint to the full-sized machines on display, drawing particular interest from all our visitors.
Live music from the Brooks I Band kept the atmosphere festive Friday night, and DJ “JP” kept the music going throughout Saturday, and a strong lineup of food and drink vendors ensured no one left hungry.
The Pagosa Pinup Contest, a beloved tradition of the show, crowned Danae Canela as the 2026 Pin-Up Queen — a well-deserved recognition that drew enthusiastic applause from the crowd.
None of it would have been possible without the generosity of the event’s sponsors. Their financial support and commitment to community programming allowed the Chamber to offer free admission, bring in quality entertainment, and create the kind of experience that keeps people coming back year after year. The Chamber extends its deepest gratitude to every sponsor who contributed to making the 17th Annual Car Show a success.
Equally deserving of recognition are the volunteers who gave their time and energy to keep the event running smoothly from setup to teardown. A heartfelt thank-you goes to Arlene and Don Jones, Elsa White, Jessie Burk, John Steinert, Jules Johnson, Kelly Spence, Brandon Carlisle, Ken Rogers, Monte McAllister, Robin Williams, Shayla McClure, Mallory McKinney, Mark Douthey, Sierra Montoya, and Theresa Suchanek. Their dedication behind the scenes — managing registration, helping to sell cold beverages, and lending a hand wherever needed — was the backbone of this event.
