Archuleta Democratic Club Luncheon to Feature Former Mayor of Durango, Dick White

The Archuleta County Democratic Club will meet for lunch on Monday, April 27 at 11:30am at Uncle’s Bar & Social Club, 56 Talisman Drive.

The featured speaker will be Dick White, a retired astronomy professor from Smith College, and former member of the Durango City Council and former mayor of Durango.

Dr. White is known as a frank environmentalist who is not afraid to advocate for stopping global warming. He will speak on the topic of his recent book, Ten Commandments for Planet Earth. His presentation is the last of a series of Earth Day celebrations.

The Archuleta Democratic Club meets once a month to hear speakers of interest to the local community and candidates for state and local offices. Please come to meet like-minded people for an interesting and social time. Everyone is welcome to come. Having cash will facilitate ordering.
