Local art. More shoppers. Two summer Friday evenings downtown.
Pagosa Springs Main Street is launching a pilot Main Street Art Walk that pairs artists with downtown businesses to create a walkable, pop-up gallery experience designed to increase foot traffic and in-store shopping.
On two Friday evenings, June 26 and July 24, visitors will stroll downtown from 4-7pm… discover local artists inside shops… and stay longer to browse, shop, and dine.
Pagosa Springs Main Street will provide free marketing and promotion support for this pilot. Let’s fill downtown with people, local art, and energy!
Applications due: April 24, 2026 by 11:59pm
Placements announced: early May (artists & host businesses notified)
Final details shared: mid-June (location, set-up guidance, event logistics)
How the Pilot Works (Curated Placement):
Artists and downtown businesses each submit applications. The Art Walk Committee will review applications and curate matches based on fit (space needs, medium, price range, vibe and professionalism). If selected, artists will receive a placement confirmation with the host location details and set-up guidance. Spots are limited; placements are curated for the best experience for artists, businesses, and visitors.
Who Should Apply
Artists: Painters, potters, photographers, makers, and more. If you want to showcase and sell your work in a downtown business setting, we’d love to hear from you. Artists may apply for one or both dates. Artists must be fully set up and ready for visitors no later than 3:30pm. Artists are responsible for sales, payment processing, and sales tax compliance for any sales and must be present during core hours (4-7pm) and coordinate setup with your host business.
Downtown Businesses: Retailers and other downtown hosts who want a simple, high-visibility way to bring more shoppers through the door. You provide reasonable indoor display space, stay open during event hours, and we will match you with an artist. Businesses may apply to participate for one or both dates. Host businesses agree to stay open and staffed during the core hours (4-7pm). Artists are responsible for all sales, payment processing, and sales tax compliance for any artwork sold. Host businesses will provide reasonable indoor space for display and coordinate set-up timing with the artist.
