The Pagosa Spring High School Theatre Department is pleased to present their interpretation of the classic Hans Christian Anderson story, “The Little Mermaid” at the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium April 8-11 at 7pm, with a special Sunday matinee at 2pm on April 11.
The title is recognizable from the classic Disney movie, “The Little Mermaid” but although this show tells a similar story, it’s a slightly modified version written by Doug Wright and inspired by the book written by Hans Christian Anderson.
The PSHS students are excited to present this musical.
The show promises to be a colorful, magical and family-friendly experience they hope everyone in our community will enjoy, and they express their thanks for all for the community support through their various fundraisers.
The PSHS theater program had success recently with their production of “The Wizard of Oz” and they hope “The Little Mermaid” is similarly successful.
From their press release:
With our biggest cast yet, a cast of 48 people, and a crew of five people, we cannot express how excited we are for the number of our youth who are participating in this show. We hope we continue to have such numbers in the future.
We want to thank all of the students for their time and commitment to our program, all of the parents for their support, and many drives to and from home.
We would also like to thank all of our directors and volunteers, Krisha Doocy, Leo Baughman, Elizabeth Baldwin, Emily Lavengood, Morgan Vining and everyone else who is volunteering to help us put on an amazing show.
Audiences can catch all the fun April 8 through 11 at 7pm, with a special matinee on April 11 at 2pm. All performances will be in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.
Tickets are available online here. $17.30 (incl. est. $2.30 in fees) Adult, and $14.18 (incl. est. $2.18 in fees) Student/Senior.
