Career Week for GIRLs is a week-long program to expose young women to future career choices.
This June program can change a young woman’s life.
Girls are expected to attend Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm. Daily attendance is mandatory. Each day we meet at a different host company site. Host companies will provide free lunch. Girls will learn about the myriad of careers that lie within transportation and construction.
This is part of the HOYA Foundation’s effort to encourage more young women to pursue careers in transportation and construction. Deadline to apply is April 15.
Over one week, girls – ranging from 13 to 23 years old – will make five stops to engage with women, ask questions and tour work sites.
To Qualify
- Candidate must be female
- Age 13 to 23
- Be selected based upon application
- Have transportation to the host companies throughout the Denver metro area
- Parental release and consent form signed
- Write short essay at end of week
There is no cost to participate if selected.

Five days can change a life
There are three one-week sessions in June: June 1-5, June 8-12 or June 22-26. There is no cost to those girls that are selected.
