Each year, NO MORE Week unites people from all corners of the world to stand together and say “no more” to domestic and sexual violence.
This powerful week shines a global spotlight on the epidemic that affects 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men worldwide. This means millions of people worldwide are affected.
Here in Pagosa, 366 of your neighbors, co-workers, relatives and friends were affected last year.
While Rise Above Violence, along with other social change organizations, work to bring awareness around this issue, we also give you opportunities to get involved — simple calls to action you can take to involved. When individuals, organizations and communities come together to prevent and end abuse, our voices grow louder and our impact grows stronger.
NO MORE Week 2026 is March 1-8.
“Listening from Home” is one highlighted campaign. Home isn’t always a safe place. To address this, NO MORE launched this campaign to bring about paying attention — listening from home. If you hear violence next door, you can help by calling 911. It highlights that if you live on the safe side, help those who aren’t.
“No more” is a powerful message, one you can actively encourage within yourself and those you love. “No more” is the ending of these crimes. It’s assertive, direct and actionable, ending our tolerance and acceptance, ending our silence, victim blaming and shaming. Join us in saying “no more” next week, this year and beyond.
