READY, FIRE, AIM: Shameful Claims from the BBC

In my Ready, Fire, Aim column yesterday, I praised King James I of England, and the English glass-makers who invented champagne bottles during the 17th century.

I’m sorry now that I did that, after seeing what the BBC published about our American President on Monday.

Just because we borrowed the English language to use here in America — purely out of convenience — does not give the British Broadcasting Corporation the right to publicly share lewd pictures reportedly drawn by President Donald Trump.

Last month, the House Oversight Committee last month issued a legal summons for the executors of Epstein’s estate to produce a number of documents, including a “birthday book” that contains (occasionally naughty) birthday wishes from dozens of Jeffrey Epstein’s friends. Lawyers for the estate subsequently sent documents to the committee.

On Monday, the committee released that alleged “birthday book” along with Epstein’s will, entries from his contact books containing addresses, and a non-prosecution agreement signed by him.

I’ve never received this type of “birthday book” from my friends, and I hope to God I never do, after what the BBC has dared to post on its website for all to see.

Here’s the image they shared online, on Monday:

Although the (obviously forged) signature might appear to be that of our current President, there’s no way the drawing was done by Donald Trump.

Please note that the woman has no head or arms… and the boobs are entirely too small.  Is this supposed to look like a headless, armless 12-year-old?  Outrageous.

And does anyone else find the position of the signature to be awkward?  I hardly think a future Presidential candidate would chose that particular spot for his signature.

The text of the (alleged) birthday message:

Voice Over: There must be more to life than having everything.

Donald: Yes, there is, but I won’t tell you what it is.

Jeffrey: Nor will I, since I also know what it is.

Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.

Jeffrey: Yes, we do, come to think of it.

Donald: Enigmas never age, have you noticed that?

Jeffrey: As a matter of fact, it was clear to me the last time I saw you.

Donald: A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.

Does this sound anything like our President? Talking about secrets? I’ve listened to dozens of speeches by Donald Trump, during and after his election campaigns, and I’ve never heard him give the slightest indication that he’s hiding anything.  On the contrary, he has always been an open book.

But that doesn’t excuse the BBC sharing an open “birthday book” with the world.

Here’s the small print included at the bottom of the image:

Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released the image on Monday, after the committee received it from the Epstein estate. The White House said, “President Trump did not draw this picture, and he did not sign it.”

So there we have it. Irrefutable proof, from the White House, that Donald Trump did not draw this headless, armless 12-year old, with a friendly conversation between two pals — about secrets — scrawled across her torso.

Obviously, the BBC hasn’t the slightest clue why Americans are sick of the lies coming from the Lamestream Media. Or else they are pandering to a different audience.

We could probably blame the House Democrats on the Oversight Committee for this whole debacle. But even a Democrat can be an American, and can feel a sense of pride that we rightfully claimed our independence from the British in 1776. Do we need any better example of why that was such a good idea, than this travesty by the BBC?

I’m beginning to wonder if we should even continue speaking English.  Surely, there are better options.
