Opportunities to Volunteer at the Archuleta Health Fair & Expo

Early in the morning on Saturday, October 19, Healthy Archuleta team members and volunteers will gather and prepare for an event that supports the health and wellness of our community. Folks will be setting up tables, preparing the lab spaces, chopping up vegetables for lunch, and preparing for a day filled with friends, community, and learning.

The 2024 Archuleta Health Fair and Expo will bring people together for a farm-to-table lunch and provide access to information and services that can improve your health. Available this year are:

  • Low-cost wellness labs
  • Healthcare providers on-site to meet and make appointments with
  • Educational booths focused on health, wellness, and nutrition
  • Vendors promoting wellness services, products, and local foods, and
  • A keynote speaker on cardiovascular health.

We are looking forward to seeing you at Pagosa Springs High School!

Volunteers are what make community events possible in Pagosa Springs… and we are still in need of help this year. Please come out and support this event, as well as the community we live in! We have some great volunteer opportunities available for you. Please consider volunteering at this health-promoting event. Volunteer opportunities include lab support, registration/cashier, navigation, bilingual navigation, lunch set-up and support, and lunch preparation on Tuesday and Friday.

Volunteering can be a great way to meet new people, gain experience, and build a stronger community. At the health fair you may even improve your health.

We spoke to Cheryl, who volunteered at the 2023 health fair, and she shared: “It helps so much to have people who can speak both Spanish and English. The mood was positive, people seemed to enjoy all of the learning opportunities and chances to connect with healthcare providers. And, of course, they enjoyed the lunch. Having people available to guide traffic and answer questions was helpful.” We are grateful for Cheryl and others in our community like her. As a volunteer, you will be provided with our popular farm-to-table lunch.

What can you do to support the health of your community other than attending and/or volunteering for the health fair? We need help getting the word out! Please share our website and details of the event, bring a friend, or follow and share our social media posts! We have 20 volunteer spots filled and less than 20 more to fill. Please consider October 19 as a day to share your time for the health of our community.

Registration is open now. Secure the best time slot for labs! All registered will have the option to earn a wellness passport. This passport can be redeemed at the fair for a free day pass to soak at the Springs. Make sure to secure your spot for labs. (Lab participants will be entered into a drawing to win an annual soaking pass at the Springs Resort). Reserve your meal for our farm-to-table lunch — it is going to be delicious. We hope to see you there!
