Apple-Picking Volunteers Needed in Cortez

APPLE PICKING VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

Montezuma Orchard Restoration Project invites you to join our volunteer picking crew to prepare for the Orchard Social and juicing season. Send us an email indicating your interest.

The first orchard we will be picking is several miles NW of Cortez.  Directions and details will be emailed to you the evening before the harvest day.

We plan to be in the field from 10am to 3pm beginning September 27 and 29, and October 1. We will take your help for any amount of hours/days that you are able. Put in a days work and earn a MORP T-shirt. Volunteer for three days or more and earn a heritage apple tree! (And yes, you can eat as many apples as you can handle while picking)

Save the date for our Orchard Social 2022 on October 8 from 11am-5pm.

Join MORP and partner The Nature Conservancy (TNC) in celebrating Orchard Country. Please come on out to the Orchard Hub property to see what supporters like you have helped accomplish.  Bring your family, friends, apples, lawn chair, memories, and visions for keeping Colorado “orchard country”.  Live music will be provided by the Lindells.

  • Cider Pressing Demo
