Monkeypox Vaccine Available at Mobile Clinic in Durango Today, Thursday

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment will provide Jynneos monkeypox vaccine, along with COVID-19 vaccine, at its mobile clinic from 10am to 5pm today, Thursday, September 15 at Fort Lewis College.

No appointment is necessary for the monkeypox vaccine, although you can pre-register at this link.

Those who qualify for the vaccination are persons who have had close physical contact with someone who has had monkeypox in the last 14 days, or:

  • has had multiple sexual partners in the last 14 days, or
  • has had sexual partners that they did not previously know in the last 14 days, or
  • has had close physical contact with other people in a venue where anonymous or group sex may occur in the last 14 days, or
  • was diagnosed with gonorrhea or syphilis in the past three months, or
  • who already uses or is eligible for HIV prevention medication, or
  • who engages in commercial and/or transactional sex
