PHOTO ESSAY: Pagosa Celebrates Mardi Gras at Tennyson Event Center

Text by Margot Kelley; photos by Jeff Laydon, Pagosa Photography.

The Tennyson Building Event Center is sending out a big “thank you” to all the fun-loving Pagosa people who turned out for their first ever Mardi Gras party! Costumes, headdresses, New Orleans inspired cocktails, rockin’ live music, Burlesque acts, and non-stop raucous Cajun fun was had by all.

A special thanks given to Elder Grown, who put on a fantastic show (with Bob Hemenger joining the jam) of funk music mixed with rock and a flare of pop and hip-hop.

School of Movement provided the pre-show and intermission entertainment with jugglers, dancers, and professional performers. Hot eats and sweet treats showcased from The Lost Cajun, Pagosa Baking Co., and Frosted Lilac kept everyone fueled for one-of-a-kind night of entertainment.

Stay tuned to www.eventcenterps.com and Tennyson Building Event Center’s Facebook page for upcoming shows.
