Advance registration is still available for free admission to Colorado’s Birthday Celebration at the History Colorado Center on Sunday, August 1, 10am – 5pm. Rain or shine…

The state’s official celebration of Colorado’s 145th birthday takes place at downtown Denver’s beautiful History Colorado Center. Amid four floors of interactive exhibits at the state’s largest history museum, the biggest Colorado Day party in the state features dozens of event partners including an alpaca petting zoo and free face painting. It’s all free and advance tickets are still available at historycolorado.org. Four additional museums across Colorado also offer free admission on Colorado Day. Entertainment
The Colorado Avalanche mascot, Bernie; the Colorado Rockies mascot, Dinger; and the Denver Broncos mascot, Miles; musical guests including local horn-and-drum street band Brothers of Brass; and thousands of Coloradans enjoying free museum admission and carnival attractions from dozens of event partners.

The event runs from 10am – 5pm, rain or shine. Brothers of Brass perform 10–11 a.m. Team Mascots entertain guests 11am – 1pm and 2 – 3pm.

The History Colorado Center in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District: 1200 North Broadway, at the southeast corner of Broadway and 12th. Several RTD routes serve the museum, and parking meters around the museum are all free on Colorado Day this year. Covered parking is also available throughout the neighborhood.
