Bill Hudson, Editor
Writer, Photographer, Former Vegetarian
Bill Hudson, editor of the Daily Post, has absolutely no academic training in journalism. But he did once receive a gift subscription to The New Yorker magazine, and that proved an inspiring experience, generating fantasies of someday editing a well-read magazine.
In his previous life, Mr. Hudson has been a theatrical set designer, musical instrument builder, graphic artist, sculptor, sign painter, and doting father to three lovely kids. Nowadays, when not editing the Daily Post or hanging out with loved ones, he plays guitar or piano in the secluded darkness of his bedroom, in the remodeled garage of a Victorian house in downtown Pagosa Springs.
He also serves on the board of directors for Pagosa’s first district-authorized charter school, Pagosa Peak Open School… for the Pagosa Area Water & Sanitation District… and for Pagosa Housing Partners.
He can be contacted at pagosadailypost@gmail.com or by phone at 970-903-2673.

Harvey Radin, Columnist
Aspiring Promoter of Ideas
Harvey Radin has known, from a whole lot of years in the PR profession, and from just… you know… current events, from tuning into the news, from hearing politicians’ political rhetoric, from advertising, that, too…. He’s trying like heck to mess with minds, right now, he’ll admit.
Why? It’s just fascinating, he’ll explain…

Gary Beatty, Columnist
Vietnam Vet, Retired Prosecutor, Great-grandfather
Gary Beatty — a quintessential Baby Boomer — was born in 1950, and raised by working class parents who worked their way into the middle class by starting their own business. He began working in the family business as an indentured slave at about the age of ten; his compensation was (as my dad often reminded me) “A roof over your head, food on the table, and clothes on your back!”
He lives on the East Coast of central Florida where he can watch launches from the Kennedy Space Center from his back yard – which requires constant effort to fight back the xeriscaped foliage. He also owns property in Archuleta County, Colorado.
He’s been married for 37 years, (second marriage), and has two great-granddaughters whom he spoils rotten and teach valuable life skills to — such as what happens when they pull his finger, thus providing them no end of amusement. His granddaughter, their mother, is not amused.
“I came of age during the height of the Vietnam War, to which I was eventually sent as a medic when the draft blew me into the Air Force. I acquired what passes for an “advanced education” in 20th century America. Along the way I’ve — in addition to a variety of manual labors in my dad’s sweatshop — as an oyster shucker in a seafood restaurant; a bartender; a paramedic; musician in a band (Butt Butane and the Blue Flames. We played both kinds of music – country and western); an insurance adjuster; a lawyer and a law professor. I’m not sure if that was progress – or digression! Now I are a columnist!
“I ascribe to no political party (registered independent). My religious beliefs are my own business. As Daily Post editor Bill Hudson can attest, I enjoy a good debate – so long as it remains civil, without resort to name-calling.”
