The holidays, although a time of joy, are for too many a time of loneliness and sorrow.
What does happiness mean, amidst all the pain and suffering surrounding us?
Join the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship this Sunday, December 4 at 10:30am when local artist Dan Dempster will give a talk on The Four Immeasurables: Love, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity and how through the practice of gratitude and concern we can improve our quality of life, improve our relationships with others, and rediscover awe, wonder and meaning in the world.
Mr. Dempster’s art has a definite contemplative quality. This is no accident. In addition to his artistic mastery, he is an authorized and certified meditation teacher. Combining both, Mr. Dempster curates the rarest and most elusive commodity in this age of information overload: peace of mind.
Dan Dempster has been a member of the oldest non-profit artist association in the United States, the Copley Society of Art. A graduate of the University of Waterloo and Sheridan College, he has lived and shown in New York, LA, Boston and Bermuda. He and his wife were married at Sunset Ranch here in Pagosa in 2007 and now live in Pagosa Springs with their two sons. Learn more at https://dempstercontemporary.art/

Depending on the current COVID recommendations, please be prepared to wear a well-fitting mask, if deemed necessary, while in the building. Social distancing will be encouraged and, to that end, the maximum capacity of the fellowship has been reduced to 25, a very good reason for arriving a few minutes early.
Our fellowship offers each individual support in our unique spiritual path and an opportunity to participate in positive social and environmental action. We welcome diversity and invite everyone to share in our faith community.
Find us in Unit B-15 of the Greenbriar Plaza, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd., on the north side facing the mountains. Join us.
