Important Details about Wolf Creek’s 2026-2027 Opening Day:
As always, Wolf Creek Ski Area is placing an emphasis on skiing with caution and in control, as it is very early season.
The storm left a 12-inch settled midway that has a high water content, which is supportive. Ski Report at WolfCreekSki.com.
Wolf Creek will have a mixture of groomed runs, as well as off-piste terrain with quality lines on both. Skiers and snowboarders should expect highly variable conditions with rocks, unmarked obstacles, and possible open water that needs to be skied or boarded around, and can be encountered on any trail. A list of machine-groomed trails and off-piste terrain available can be found by visiting WolfCreekSki.com.
Skiers and snowboarders will have access to roughly 30% of the mountain Saturday, October 31 through Tuesday, November 3. Treasure Stoke, Bonanza and Nova will operate from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
Wolf Creek Ski Area will be closed Wednesday, November 4 and Thursday, November 5. The Ski Area will reopen Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8. Lifts will spin Fridays through Sundays until significant snowfall is received.
The Ski & Snowboard School, Ski & Snowboard Rental, and Treasure Sports will be open. The Main Day Lodge, Upper Lodge, will be serving a delicious homemade menu including burgers, fries, chili, soups and a salad bar. Pathfinder Bar will be serving a full drink menu.
Lift tickets will be at Appreciation rates: $73 for adults, $55 for seniors and $36 for children.
Early-season skiers and snowboarders can find accommodations in the mountain towns of Pagosa Springs and South Fork.
As usual, with more snow and winter conditions, more terrain and lifts will open.
