Finding quality day care and preschools for the 5-and-under crowd is a challenge everywhere, especially if you do not have an income well above average.
Part of the solution in Pagosa Springs is the nonprofit preschool and daycare center Wings Early Childhood Center.
On Wednesday, August 5, Ben Fox, director of Wings, will share information on how this preschool is meeting that need, what challenges it faces and what the center could do if it had sufficient resources.
The local Democratic Club will meet to hear Ben Fox at 11:30am at Uncle’s.
The Archuleta County Democratic Club meets monthly. The club gives local Democrats the opportunity to meet with other Democrats and to hear speakers from the community, to meet candidates for local and national offices, and to hear about topics of timely interest.
Plan on coming by 11:30am to order lunch. Having cash will facilitate ordering. Everyone is welcome to attend. You do not need to be a registered Democrat.
