After more than a year and a half of collaboration, community engagement, and stakeholder meetings, the Pagosa Area Recreation Coalition (PARC) Strategic Recreation and Conservation Plan has been finalized and is available for review.
The completion of the plan marks an important milestone, but the work is just beginning, according to PARC leadership. The Plan was designed to be a living roadmap, and will continue to guide recreation, conservation, stewardship and community priorities while evolving to meet future opportunities and challenges.
PARC remains committed to putting the plan into action through ongoing partnerships, on-the-ground projects, and collaborative stewardship efforts that protect and enhance the landscapes and recreation opportunities that make our region unique.
This achievement would not have been possible without the dedication of many partners, agencies, organizations, volunteers and community members. Their shared vision and commitment have created a roadmap that will benefit residents and visitors
for generations to come.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who invested their time and expertise throughout this process,” says the PARC Leadership Committee. “This plan represents what we can accomplish when we work together, and we’re excited to continue turning this vision into action.”
The finalized PARC Strategic Recreation and Conservation Plan is available at PagosaPARC.org.
We invite the community to explore the plan, follow implementation efforts and stay involved as PARC continues its work with boots on the ground.
