Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County is building more than homes.
It’s building stability, opportunity and a stronger community.
This March, Habitat Archuleta invites community members to learn how they can be part of that impact through Mondays in March, a series of informational meetings for those interested in affordable homeownership and partnering with Habitat to build in 2027.
To date, Habitat Archuleta has built 39 homes, benefiting 151 children and 120 adults in our community.
In recent years, the organization has expanded its reach even further, launching an ambitious five-year plan to build 15 homes in five years — tripling our historic build pace thanks to overwhelming community support, dedicated volunteers and strong local partnerships.
To help future homeowners take the first step, Habitat is offering three identical informational meetings in March. Each meeting will cover the same information, so attendees only need to attend one session and may choose the date that works best for them: March 16, March 23 or March 30.
All meetings begin at 5:30pm and will take place at Pagosa Community Initiative’s art studios, located at 550 B Hot Springs Blvd.
During the meetings, Habitat staff will walk through the homeownership application process, required documentation, income guidelines, and key deadlines. Attendees will also learn about the Habitat program model, including mortgage affordability, sweat equity requirements and what it truly means to partner with Habitat to build a home.
Families are welcome. Habitat’s Family Services Team will be available to assist with child care during the meetings. Families are asked to RSVP in advance if they plan to bring children. Light snacks will be provided.
Whether you’re just starting to explore homeownership or ready to take the next step, Mondays in March is a great place to begin.
