Archuleta Seniors, Inc. would like to congratulate Darlene Virovatz and Kenneth Johnson for being elected by their peers as ASI’s 2026 Valentine’s Day Queen and King.
In other news, ASI is pleased to announce a new pilot program to support seniors in the Aspen Springs area.
The program serves adults aged 60 and older by delivering seven frozen meals per week directly to participants’ homes.
This initiative is made possible through a partnership with the Community United Methodist Church, which is generously providing space for program operations and pantry food items. Together, we are working to ensure local seniors have access to nutritious meals and essential support. The pilot program currently has capacity for five additional participants living in Aspen Springs 1 or 2.
Seniors in need or those who know someone who may benefit are encouraged to contact our office at (970) 264-2167 and ask to speak with Ricardo Martinez, executive director. Space is limited, and a waiting list will be established to help ASI assess ongoing community needs.

Thursday, Feb. 19 — Grilled turkey, Swiss cheese, tomato sandwich; sweet potato fries; garden salad; fruit; muffin; and milk.
Friday, Feb. 20 — Vegetable lasagna, garlic bread, garden salad, fruit, chocolate cake and milk.
Monday, Feb. 23 — Green chili chicken casserole, Mexican corn, garden salad, fruit and milk.
Tuesday, Feb. 24 — Beef spaghetti with garlic bread, broccoli, garden salad, fruit, cottage cheese and milk.
Wednesday, Feb. 25 — Mushroom barley rice casserole, roasted butternut squash, garden salad, fruit, raspberry cheesecake and milk.
Thursday, Feb. 26 — Singapore pork coffee ribs with rice, squash casserole, garden salad, fruit and milk.
