As a fellowship on a path of growth, not only in numbers but in spiritual deepening, the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist Fellowship holds programming most Sundays and share our space with various groups throughout the week.
We are thrilled to host Dances of Universal Peace also this Sunday, November 9 from 2 – 4pm.
Led by dance leader, minister and senior teacher in Inayati Sufi Order, Wahhab David Sheets brings experience and a joyous presence to these spiritual dances. We will learn simple songs and movement and share in this community practice.
Whether you are familiar with Dances of Universal Peace or a newcomer, we welcome you, all are invited
The Pagosa UU Fellowship holds a motto of Make Friends, Grow Your Spirit, Do Good, and our second Sunday programming opens space for that with our Going Deeper Sharing Circle. If you’re looking for a welcoming community, join us at this open circle on November 9, from 10:30-12:00pm.
This small-group setting, typically 6-8 people, is where we practice deep listening and sharing from our hearts. This week, through a recorded conversation with poet Naomi Shihab Nye, we explore the resources from the On Being podcast which states: We investigate some orientations and ways of being that are companions to hope. If hope is a muscle that can be exercised to become stronger and more supple, these qualities might be thought of as fascia, or the tendons — complementary ligaments that make the whole viable and sustainable. With space for reflection and sharing we practice the art of listening with others, and lean into our own wisdom to live meaningful lives.
Light refreshments are offered.
Our Community Hub hosts the weekly Tara Meditation Group Sunday evenings, now meeting at an earlier time – from 5:30-7:00pm. Learn more at our website, PagosaUU.org, and email us to receive email reminders. Weekly Qigong practice happens each Monday afternoon at 1:00pm. This ongoing group is led by instructor Jeanette Pike, who has been practicing and teaching Qigong for more than 10 years. Class starts promptly and lasts about an hour.
Another newly added group, is the bi-monthly offering, Wise and Wakeful Circle, meeting the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. The group is led by Elaine Harding and Sam Johnson, and it is open to all individuals who align with the values of respect, peace and authentic connection. These one-hour gatherings offer meditation, inspiration and connection. Check it out this week.
Our monthly newsletter is a great source for on-going group gatherings, which can also be found on our website. The Pagosa UU Fellowship is located at Greenbriar Plaza, Unit B-15, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd, near Park Avenue, on the north side facing the Pagosa Peak. With all the activities we have in our small space, we invite you to share is this vibrant community holding love at the center.
