Introducing ‘Community-PowerX: An Evening with Energy Experts’
Join us for LPEA’s dynamic, TED-style speaker series created to inform, inspire and empower our members.
Each event will bring together experts for fast-paced, 18-minute talks designed to make big energy topics accessible and exciting. From uncovering how electricity is generated and delivered, to exploring the unique role cooperatives play in shaping our communities, to sharing practical tips on energy efficiency and safety, participants will leave both informed and energized.
Every session includes interactive Q-and-A and community discussion, providing the opportunity to engage directly with energy leaders, ask questions and take part in conversations that shape the future of power in our region.
Speakers include Carrie Simpson, vice president of markets at Southwest Power Pool, who will speak about regional transmission organizations, and Samuel Perry, of HydroWest, who will speak about hydroelectric power. It is set for 5:30 to 7:30pm on October 23 at the Gaslight Theatre in Durango. Registration is required.
