The lights are beginning to dim on one of the most exciting summers yet at Pagosa Springs Center for the Arts. Thingamajig Theatre Company’s 2025 repertory season is heading into its final week, with only a few chances left to catch two of its most talked-about shows. Andrew Lippa’s bold and jazzy The Wild Party closed August 24 after a run that left audiences buzzing. Now, only a handful of performances remain of the Tony-winning A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder — a razor-sharp comedy of manners and misdeeds — and the hit musical comedy Something Rotten!, which has filled the theatre with show-stopping numbers and plenty of laughter.
Tickets and information for the final summer performances available at pagosacenter.org or by calling the box office at 970-731-SHOW.
“This has truly been a magical season, both onstage and off,” said Producing Artistic Director Tim Moore. “We’re very proud of the work we’ve created and shared with the community, and grateful to everyone who came out to be a part of it.”
The summer season has drawn together a company of professional artists from across the country, living and working in Pagosa Springs to create theatre that feels both intimate and grand. For audiences, it has meant Broadway-level talent in the heart of the San Juan Mountains — an experience that blends world-class storytelling with small-town connection.

As the season closes on August 30, the theatre is already looking ahead to its fall and winter lineup, which will be announced soon. In the meantime, young performers have their own chance to take the stage through Thingamajig’s ThingamaWHO Teen Program, which this fall will mount Beetlejuice JR.

Open to teens ages 13–18 (with special requests considered for 12- and 19-year-olds), the program combines dance, vocal, and acting lessons with the experience of putting on a full-scale musical. Classes are designed with flexibility for busy teens—meeting Sundays from 1–4pm, September 7 – October 12, along with scheduled small-group coaching sessions throughout the week. Public performances will take place October 19, 26, and November 1, with the possibility of an added Halloween night show.
Instruction will be led by a team of Thingamajig’s professional performers and educators, including Samantha Luck (Visiting Professor of Musical Theatre at Ft. Lewis College), Trevor Brown, Educational Director Laura Moore, and Artistic Director Tim Moore.
Space for Beetlejuice JR is limited, and students are encouraged to bring their personal schedules to auditions so rehearsals and performances can be built around availability. Past teen programs have brought Alice in Wonderland JR and Pinkalicious to the stage… this fall promises to be just as memorable.
