Dear Daily Post,
I have enjoyed Mr. Hudson’s informative four-part editorial series on whether tourism has made Pagosa a better place to live.
I think our elected and appointed officials surely need to determine definitively what the voters desire regarding tourism:
How much tourism is enough?
How much tourism is too much?
I fully agree that the Town of Pagosa Springs should use a portion of Lodging Tax revenue for the direct benefit of town residents.
I feel that the County government should:
Secure voter approval to increase the County Lodging Tax (say, to 4.9%)
Secure voter approval to use Lodging Tax revenue for the direct benefit of county residents.
Thank you for your service to our community.
