About Pagosa West
The Pagosa West development in uptown Pagosa Springs proposes to balance growth with conservation while meeting critical community needs. Based on community input, the development team has revised the site plan, reportedly to better preserve natural resources, maintain neighborhood character, and address public concerns.

Possible Project Benefits:

  • Responsive Planning – Revised site concept following public feedback.
  • Tree Preservation Plan – Detailed tree study with protections for mature trees and replacement for any removed.
  • Wetlands & Wildlife Protection – Sensitive areas preserved as dedicated open space.
  • Unobstructed Views – No blocked views of Pagosa Peak or Eagle Mountain.
  • Workforce Housing – Phase I includes up to 88 high-quality, income-restricted apartments for essential workers.
  • Economic Growth – New jobs and increased property/sales tax revenue for Town and County.
  • Infrastructure Upgrades – Improved water, sewer, electric, and internet systems for uptown.
  • Quality of Life Enhancements – Walking trails, playground, recreational areas, and larger building setbacks.
  • Connectivity Improvements – Extension of pedestrian trail system along Highway 160, linking Pinon Causeway to South Pagosa Boulevard.

“This phased project ensures thoughtful development, protects natural assets, and strengthens both the economy and community of Pagosa Springs,” according to the developers. Join them at either session to hear more.

Written feedback and questions will be accepted after the presentation.
