You know you’re getting old…. and our Chamber of Commerce is 49 years old.
Since its beginnings, the Chamber’s “Art In The Park” event has been held in Town Park on Independence Day. Ambitious creators of all sorts, presenting their artistic handiwork. Hundreds of visitors and locals celebrate the time strolling through the canopies of treasures. Over 100 vendors were here this year.
Maybe a gift for a loved one, or a special piece of art that will adorn the family living room mantle? An engagement ring, an early Christmas present or a cute outfit for a precious newborn. The Patriotic theme comes easy.

Carrying the chosen item home, to places far and wide… or back to their home here in Pagosa Springs.
As usual the weather was just like you like it. Seeing friends, making friends. Singing along with local musicians and all the people watching along the way. The aroma of food made to order. Tasty summer delicacies like Caramel Popcorn, Relleno Burritos and Brisket. A tiger blood snow cone, or locally brewed cold beer to cool the temp.
What a great experience to have photographed over 20 years of this great tradition.

Bob Hand was the founding Chamber Director. I started Pagosa Photography in 1995, and I worked with Director Lynne DeLange, Then I remember working with Sally Hamiester, and Mamie Lynch. Next came Mary Jo Coulehan. (Cindi Galabota and Clint Alley served during Mary Jo’s 2-year hiatus)
It has been my pleasure working with Mary Jo all these many years. What a tremendous asset to our Chamber and our community. “Thank you” seems way too ordinary. Mary Jo’s work will continue to benefit our community for a long, long time. Her service will not go without huge Divine rewards.
Happy Travels and Much Love to you Mary Jo! Thank You for another great Art In The Park.
