A welcoming space, a few refreshments and an opportunity to connect can help turn introductions into lasting business relationships. As local businesses look ahead to 2027, the Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce encourages members to consider hosting a Business Happy Hour through its annual host-selection lottery.
The BHH Lottery opened October 12, and the 2027 businesses will be announced November 3.
Business Happy Hour brings Chamber members together to network, learn about local businesses and strengthen community connections. Hosting provides an opportunity to introduce a new business, highlight expanded services or give fellow members a fresh look at an established operation. The focus is on connections. A reception gives hosts an opportunity to share what they do while welcoming other members into their business. Whether showcasing a new feature or drawing attention to existing services, the event offers a setting for conversation and greater visibility within the local business community.
Businesses do not have to host alone. The Chamber encourages members to partner, particularly when a home-based business would benefit from collaborating with a member that has space to welcome guests. A shared reception can introduce attendees to several businesses for one evening.
Under the Chamber’s hosting arrangement, participating businesses provide light appetizers or other food, while the Chamber supplies beverages. Hosts will also have opportunities to market their chosen BHH and add activities, discounts or giveaways to make their evening distinctive. Businesses interested in the 2027 schedule should confirm current hosting responsibilities with the Chamber as they plan.
For a new business ready to introduce itself, an established business with something new to share or neighboring businesses interested in a joint event, Business Happy Hour offers a way to bring members together and highlight the variety of services available locally.
Members interested please submit your business name, contact information and their top three preferred hosting months. Those preferences help guide the selection process for the coming year’s events.
