GOAL High School, Domino’s Pizza, and KOAA are coming together throughout October to support Coloradans impacted by breast cancer through the annual Go Pink Campaign.
Every Monday in October, a portion of proceeds from participating Domino’s Pizza locations will be donated to Sense of Security, a Colorado nonprofit organization that provides non-medical financial assistance to breast cancer patients and their families. The organization helps families meet basic living expenses during treatment, allowing patients to focus on their health and recovery.
In addition to raising funds, the campaign aims to raise awareness about the importance of early detection, screenings, and community support. For Aryn Henneke, Senior Director of Curriculum and Support at GOAL High School and a breast cancer survivor, that message is deeply personal.
“Early detection saved my life,” said Aryn Henneke. “Because my cancer was detected early, I had access to treatment options that significantly improved my prognosis and outcome. Advances in science, medical research, and technology have transformed breast cancer care, giving so many people hope and the opportunity for long, healthy lives after diagnosis.”
Henneke credits her family, friends, coworkers, and the GOAL community with helping her through some of the most challenging moments of her journey.
“Cancer can feel overwhelming, but the support I received reminded me daily that I was not facing it alone,” she said. “Coworkers and the GOAL community offered kindness, flexibility, prayers, and understanding. Those acts of support, both big and small, gave me strength and allowed me to focus on healing.”
Community support is at the heart of the Go Pink campaign.
“Initiatives like Go Pink are powerful because they raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention while also supporting those who have been affected by breast cancer,” said Henneke. “These campaigns help educate people about screenings, encourage conversations about breast health, and remind survivors and families that they are not alone.”
Through its partnership with Sense of Security, the Go Pink campaign will help provide financial assistance to breast cancer patients and their families during treatment. The need is real for many Coloradans. Survivors like Allison, Maria, Stephanie, and Maribel faced not only surgeries, chemotherapy, and radiation, but also the challenge of balancing everyday responsibilities, caring for their families, and keeping up with essential household expenses. Support from Sense of Security helped ease some of that burden, allowing them to focus on what mattered most: their health, recovery, and loved ones.
Throughout October, KOAA will help promote the campaign and share stories of survivors, highlighting the strength, resilience, and hope found within the community. Henneke hopes her story encourages others to prioritize their health.
“My biggest message is simple: Get screened, know your body, and don’t put off preventive care. Breast cancer taught me that hope is real, science is powerful, and no one should have to face a difficult journey alone,” said Henneke.
Community members can support the Go Pink campaign by ordering from Domino’s Pizza on Mondays throughout October. A percentage of proceeds will benefit Sense of Security, helping breast cancer patients and their families with everyday living expenses during treatment. Those who would like to contribute directly can also make a donation through the Domino’s website during the campaign.
