The Lewis Street intersection is now open.
7th Street
On Wednesday, August 19 beginning at 7pm, westbound 7th Street will be shut down to one lane with alternating traffic to support waterline work. Once westbound is complete, the crew will work on the eastbound side. This operation is expected to be complete by Thursday morning at 6am.
North 7th Street
Crews are initiating storm water drain replacement and utility work. Pedestrians should use the alternative street crossing at 8th Street.
South 7th Street
Work continues on water utility connection work with PAWSD followed by safety improvements. Residents should plan on 7th Street being closed for a month.
North 3rd Street intersection
Work continues on the subgrade as crews prepare for paving operations. Pedestrians may access the north side of Main Street from 4th & Hot Springs crosswalk during the work period. This intersection is expected to open late August, pending weather delays
Overlook parking lot
Sidewalk work continues along US 160 next to the Overlook parking lot. Parking spaces will be closed in areas where work is taking place.
100 & 200 blocks
Crews will continue paving the south side of US 160 from 3rd Street east.
Pedestrian Safety
Pedestrian crosswalks are open at 4th, 7th, and 8th Streets as an alternative to access businesses along Lewis Street or anywhere on the 400 block. Our team continues to see pedestrians, not practicing good safety measures, jumping barricades and crossing US 160. Our work zone is extremely active in several locations and we want to keep everyone safe!
