Primary election voters in Archuleta County selected Republican Randy Betts to appear on the November election ballots for Archuleta County Commissioner on District 3. Mr. Betts garnered about 67% of the votes, with incumbent commissioner Veronica Medina getting about 33% of the tally. The count is still unofficial.
According to Archuleta County Clerk and Recorder Kristy Archuleta, the county had a 39 percent voter turnout for the June 30 primary.
None of the other County offices saw competitive races, with all of the incumbent County officials running as Republicans, unopposed. All will appear on the November ballot.
