Fourth of July Holiday
Crews will not be working from noon on Thursday, July 2, returning on Monday, July 6, in recognition of the 4th of July holiday. The WW Clyde team will have a supervisor and traffic control specialist on call over the weekend should any needs come up around the work zone. The project hotline and email will be managed throughout the holiday weekend as well.
200-300 Blocks
Crews will begin demolishing old sidewalks in preparation for curb and gutter and new sidewalks.
Pedestrian Safety|Watch Where You Walk! Pedestrian crosswalks are open at 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th Streets as an alternative to access businesses along Lewis Street or anywhere on the 400 block. Our team continues to see pedestrians, not practicing good safety measures, jumping barricades and crossing US 160. Our work zone is extremely active in several locations and we want to keep everyone safe!
Humane Society Driveway
The project team will begin excavation at the main driveway to the Humane Society, today, Monday, June 29 to install a fire hydrant. This work is anticipated to take approximately three days to complete.
Hot Springs Boulevard and Overlook Parking Lot
Hot Springs Boulevard is open to traffic as well as the Overlook Parking Lot is open. Pedestrian detours remain in place in several locations throughout the project limits.
What’s going on with Lewis Street?
The Lewis Street and US 160 intersection closure remains in place. Please utilize 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th Streets as an alternative to access businesses along Lewis Street. The good news is that the complex utility line work will be complete by Friday, June 26th. Crews have completed water utility work, wastewater utility work, stormwater, geothermal, gas, and electrical work. Following the 4th of July holiday weekend, crews will begin prepping base in the area for future paving.
