The fourth Sunday of each month, the Pagosa Fellowship engages in what we call Action Sunday! This week, February 22, at 10:30am, we continue to explore ways to Do Good, in addition to the motto we’ve been using lately – Grow Your Spirit, Make Friends. The action for this month and March is our current book group reading Social Change Now: A Guide for Reflection and Connection by Deepa Iyer.
This workbook focuses on the following roles: Frontline Responders, Visionaries, Builders, Caregivers, Disrupters, Healers, Storytellers, Guides, Weavers, Experimenters. It serves as a guide to help readers participate in finding what roles may fit and how to apply the tools and traits in actions that build and connect in social change. So far, the group reflection and discussion has been lively and meaningful, even for those who have not read the book ahead of time. All are invited to join us for refreshments and community connection.
As a local congregation and part of the wider Unitarian Universalist Association, our spiritual tradition is steeped in social justice and action. We are a small and growing group, celebrating diversity and fostering a spiritual home for those wishing to Make Friends, Grow in Spirit and Do Good.
The Fellowship is located in the Greenbriar Plaza, Unit B-15, 301 N. Pagosa Blvd. on the north side facing Pagosa Peak. We also invite the community to explore various groups that meet in our Community Hub. The Tara Meditation Group held Sundays, 4:30-6pm, Qigong practice on Monday afternoons, and the Wise & Wakeful Circle, held the 2nd & 4th Saturdays at 10am.
The website, PagosaUU.org is a great way to find out more about all our programs and about the Unitarian Universalist faith tradition.
