Following repairs on Wednesday at one of the Town pumping stations, the Town’s wastewater system is operating, but we’re still dealing with a pump station issue and are not back to normal operations.
To reduce strain on the system, we’re asking the public to continue conserving water until repairs are complete.
Crews are on site, and a bypass setup is being finalized. Additional backup equipment is also being brought in to strengthen system reliability. We’ll share another update as soon as the system is fully stabilized.
Who we need help from: Residents within the Pagosa Springs Sanitation General Improvement District (PSSGID)… generally east of Piedra Road and including downtown.
How you can help right now:
- Keep showers short
- Delay laundry and dishwasher use if possible
- Flush only when necessary
- Limit non-essential water use
Thank you for your cooperation as we work to stabilize the system and prevent further disruptions.
