The Pagosa Springs Area Chamber of Commerce capped off an evening of celebration and recognition at its Annual Gala and Community Awards, held at the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association Clubhouse on Friday, February 6. Business owners, nonprofit leaders, and residents gathered for the presentation of the Chamber’s coveted Community Awards.
Guests enjoyed dinner and dessert, a cash bar, and live music from local performer Michael Dae Hanlon, creating a festive atmosphere that highlighted the strength and resilience of the local business community. The gala also served as an opportunity to introduce the newly elected members of the 2026 Chamber board of directors; Darren Gantt, Matt Kossler, Kelly Maestes, and Loretta Paniagua and to honor outgoing board members; Kirsten Derr, Ricardo Martinez, and Cindy Nobles, for their service.
Thank you to the generous sponsors whose support made the evening possible. Our Platinum, Gold, and Silver Partners were acknowledged for their important role in supporting the celebration. The Chamber also kicked off their 50th Anniversary Celebration, with a reveal of a new logo!
While only one honoree in each category could receive an award, the Chamber emphasized that all nominees and community members play a vital role in making Pagosa Springs a vibrant place to live and do business.
Community Awards presented during the evening recognized outstanding achievements by local nonprofits, small businesses, volunteers, and citizens who have made a measurable impact on Pagosa Springs and Archuleta County. Friday’s winners at the gala were, Ski & Bow Rack 2025 Small Business of The Year, Pagosa Community Initiative 2025 Non-Profit of The Year, Katherine Solbert 2025 Volunteer of The Year, and Arleen and Shawn Prochazka 2025 Citizen of The Year.
The Annual Gala is more than a social event; it is a chance to celebrate collaboration, highlight successes, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges facing the business community in the coming year. With strong sponsor support, enthusiastic attendance, and inspiring award recipients, this year’s gala once again demonstrated the community spirit that defines Pagosa Springs.
Can’t wait to honor more businesses and people in 2027!
