Pagosa UU Fellowship ‘Going Deeper Sharing Circle’

The Pagosa UU Fellowship has been active in Pagosa Springs since 1987. A spiritual home for many who work toward justice and equity for all. As a lay-led fellowship we draw inspiration from one another and our community to grow in spirit, make friends and do good.

Sunday, February 8, the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship holds the Going Deeper Sharing Circle from 10:30am -12:00 noon.

This small group ministry is a time for deep connection and a place for reflection as we practice the art of listening to our inner selves and others in a safe, nonjudgmental circle. The On Being podcast offers resources exploring hope as a verb, and which is a balm for the weary soul. We will hear from the extraordinary Joy Harjo; a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation. She is a musician, visual artist, and former Poet Laureate of the United States.

Krista Tippet, host of the On Being program introduces Harjo this way:

From the beginning of her life, from childhood and even before, she has carried and retained a sense of space and time and life that is so much vaster than present circumstances. She uses this evocative phrase for the sense of time she knows and lives. She calls it “the whole of time.” It is stunning to be present to Joy Harjo and see someone who holds this sense of time. She’s always known it — never lost it — and she beckons us to enter and relearn.

We invite all who may be curious to join us as we build resilience with a focus on a muscular hope.

Our Community Hub is home to several other gatherings and are open to all.
