Dems Luncheon Speaker to Address Immigrants’ Rights

The Archuleta County Democratic Club will meet on Monday, January 26 at 11:30am at Coyote Moon, 120 Piedra Road.

Judy Patton will be the speaker. She will be talking about PIRAC — Proponents of Immigrant Rights in Archuleta County — who they are, what they do, and why their work matters right now in this community.

PIRAC exists because our immigrant neighbors are not abstract policy debates. They are families, and workers, and parents of our children’s classmates. They are people who belong here. Our laws and constitution define what the rights of immigrants are. Plan to attend this meeting to learn about these rights.

The Archuleta County Democratic Club meets every month. The Club gives local Democrats the opportunity to meet with other Democrats, to hear speakers from the community, to meet candidates for local and national offices, and to hear about topics of timely interest. All are welcome to attend. Please plan to come by 11:30 to order lunch. The speaker will present at noon. Having cash will facilitate ordering.
