Connection and fellowship with others is a foundation for the Pagosa Unitarian Universalist (UU) Fellowship. We meet each week with a variety of programs, and this past Sunday was no exception. With nearly 20 in attendance, a joyous ringing in the new year occurred as we listened to music by talented musicians, heard readings of hope, and shared delicious treats.
Thanks to all those who participated, and stay tuned for additional offerings to feed your soul.
The second Sunday of each month is set aside for our Going Deeper Sharing Circle from 10:30am-12:00 noon. On
This coming Sunday, January 11, we continue with the theme of hope using resources from the On Being podcast. Our inspiration will be activist and author, Joanna Macy.
Krista Tippet, host of On Being says of Macy, “What she embodies is a wild love for the world and a fierce hope that rises irrepressible from that.” Joanna Macy, who died at the age of 96 this past year, was a Buddhist philosopher of ecology, worked with the CIA in Cold War Europe, and served in the Peace Corps in post-colonial India. Her works include Active Hope, Coming Back to Life: Practices to Reconnect Our Lives, and four volumes of translated works of Rainer Maria Rilke.
This small-group gathering is a place of reflection and sharing as we practice deep listening and sharing from our hearts. All are invited to join in, as this is an open, safe circle of deepening your own life’s journey.
