Habitat for Humanity ‘Penguin Plunge Team’ Seeking Sponsors

The 16th Annual Penguin Plunge will be held at the Visitors Center on January 17 at 1pm as part of the Pagosa Springs Chamber Winter Fest activities.

Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County currently has six brave souls ready to plunge into the mighty San Juan River as a fundraiser for Habitat — a great group combined of staff, board member, and three from our 2026 partner families who have stepped up to take the Plunge.

We would like to thank the following Penguin Plunge volunteers:

Leah
Madeline
Cayce
Holly
E.J.
Matt

Help us by supporting them and making your pledge today.

Each person has their own pledge sheet but they are all working towards the same goal because all monies received will go straight towards our mission to bring people together to build homes, community and hope.

If you would like to pledge to one or all of our team, please go to Penguin Pledge Here.

Make sure you select the “dedication” box and please specify if it’s for an individual or for the whole team… or if you want to make a lump sum donation and have it split evenly that works too… just specify on the dedication line.

All plunge volunteers must start with a minimum $50 in order to participate — so anything you can give will help to get them started.

We are thankful to the Chamber of Pagosa Springs for hosting this opportunity to help make an impact for all of the nonprofits that are participating in the Penguin Plunge Event, and we look forward to receiving your support. If you feel compelled please circulate this email to anyone you think would like to make a pledge.
