The Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2026 Penguin Plunge, scheduled to be held Saturday, January 17 at 1pm at the Visitors Center. Download the registration form here; then solicit pledges from your friends, co-workers, and neighbors to benefit your favorite non-profit organization.
Community members can support these worthy non-profits — raising money by plunging into the freezing cold San Juan River — while spectators enjoy the view from the San Juan River Walk. These brave souls don’t just jump in and get out, they really plunge into the river!
As a plunger, you will enjoy a free soaking pass to one of Pagosa’s hot mineral spa facilities, along with other participant goodies and prizes.
Registration to plunge comes with a requirement to raise money for a community non-profit organization.
