Pagosa Springs Community Choir to Present Christmas Concerts Dec. 12-14

We all “Need a Little Christmas,” and the Pagosa Springs Community Choir is ready to give you just that with its annual Christmas concerts, which are right around the corner.
These concerts have become a feature of Pagosa Springs holiday celebrations. This year you will not be disappointed as our choir is larger than it has ever been and the sound of 80 voices singing in beautiful harmony will be a sound to hear and a remarkable sight.

This year’s concerts will be on Friday December 12 and Saturday December 13 at 7pm, and on Sunday December 14 at 4pm, in the Pagosa Springs High School auditorium.

Admission is free, though donations will be accepted with gratitude.

The Pagosa Springs Community Choir has been giving our Christmas concerts for over 20 years. Rehearsals begin in September, and members of the choir enjoy the comradery of singing with a large choral group along with coaching from our music director, Dan Burch.

In addition to our concert performances, the community choir awards vocal scholarships annually to local vocal students for private lessons to help young singers further their studies.

One of the special features of our Christmas concerts is our American Sign Language interpreter, Faith Richardson. Richardson has signed for our concerts for several years, and she brings these concerts alive for the hearing impaired, allowing them to enjoy the concerts fully. For those of us who are not hearing impaired, it is beautiful to watch Richardson as she signs the lyrics to our songs.

Our theme this year is “We Need a Little Christmas.” You will hear this Christmas favorite, along with others such as “The Little Drummer Boy” and “Silver Bells.”

Come enjoy the Pagosa Springs Community Choir’s Christmas concerts this holiday season.

The choir is looking forward to singing for you.
