The early Pagosa Community Thanksgiving meal will be served to all comers this Thursday, November 20, in front of 445 Lewis St. from 11am to 12:30pm, or until the 400-plus projected take-away meals are all served.
Members of St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church will be preparing a traditional Thanksgiving dinner in Centerpoint Church’s well-equipped kitchen on Wednesday and Thursday morning, before they are shuttled downtown for distribution.
This annual community feast, offered free to the public one week before the actual Thanksgiving Day, will include roasted turkey, savory dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans and pie.
“It is a joy to share our Thanksgiving gratitude with our neighbors,” notes St. Patrick’s Rector Wren Blessing. “We all can be grateful for the beauty of this incredible community we call home.”
Serving will begin at 11am, aiming to serve until 12:30pm, or until all of the prepared meals are served.
Due to anticipated high demand, we recommend folks arrive before noon to pick up your meals.
All are welcome to partake in this special community meal.
Happy Thanksgiving, Pagosa.
